- I could not finish the installation. A pop up did interrupt the processing as Fig.1
It is because the current Freecall App ver4.4 does not support your higher Android version running on your mobile. For an alternate downloading, you can download the updated Freecall 3G ver5.0 on this web site and install it directly. And follow the Freecall 5.0 setup guide to create your account.
- How to setup correctly?
Once your download is completed, just click the file link or from your download folder. The installation will be excuted automatically. Follow the steps as below to modify the default settings as the new advised from Fig.2 ~ Fig.4, In order to view clearly, we suggest you will view the set up images with your computer or tablet.
- Installation was completed without problem. But, my Register still failed after installed the Freecall 5.0, How can I do?
Besure you are online, and, you have to enable the VPN if you are in UAE and Saudi Arabia. Then, you have to check what Android version running on your mobile. This App does not support Android 6.0 or higher. If your mobile is 5.X.X, you can reboot the phone and re-entry the acc. and pw correctly again.
- Register seems OK. How can I make Freecall correctly after register successfully?
You have to follow the Freecall dialing rule to make any free calls. See the DIALING rule as below:
To call tradition Phone No, always dial 900 +Country code +Phone number
For example: Call to India Cellphone: Try to call 900 91 9137002601
- How to make intercall?
To call other Freecall member, just dial the desired Freecall member account directly.
For example: Call to Freecall Help Hotline: Dial 80085588 directly (900 +country code are not required)
- I am wondering sometimes I heard announcement said that "Insufficient Money for current call"?
It is not a real problem on freecall. Usually it was caused by poor network on local or destination at fluctuation moment because too much data packets were lost. So the termination trunk server on local telecom could not verify such kind of calling and always move it to "No money" processing. To resolve a problem, just dial again or call later.
- Why I was broken after a short fixed time (Often be observed from 30 seconds to 3 min.) for every calls?
Freecall does not block any usual conversation except a call is over 20 min. For your case, it was usually caused by the local internet provider. So, you can try to exchange for another network like from data plan to WiFi. Freecall allow user to make each call duration up to Max. 20 min. and accept unlimited redials until to complete your conversation
- Can I configure my account on both mobile and tablet or PC at same time?
No. It is not allowed. You will create a double login issue which is defined an illegal event. Server will block any illegal usage while it detect 2 ip of one account registered. Freecall request user to register on server with one device only at same time.
- Why I got error code "488 /not acceptable here"; or "Unknown Error / not acceptable here" sometimes while calling to India /PK / BD / Nigeria or those undeveloped region. But there was no problem I just called to other modern countries like USA ; China or Hong Kong?
You need to enable the G.729 codec which found in the set up menu >Media (Audio) Codecs. It is useful to make your voice packets to be much smaller that allow your calling more easily to go through a narrow bandwidth or quality worst network. Please note that this codec might be an in-app purchase item in most of free apps which you can download from the Google play. You will be asked for about $US 8.00 of a license fee for life time usage.
- I got error with "Register Failed -Time-out" and tried many times continually and not successful, how can I do?
You can quit the App completely and re-run the App. Do it like this: From the phone main menu > More > Application Manager > Find App info for the Freecall > Force Stop > Back to Desktop to Run Freecall App again.
- My recipient said my voice is not so clear, what can I do for a better improvement?
First of all, you need to make few times for network diagnostic with our recommended app in order to make sure your network will be enough to fulfill the minimal technical requirement. Download it from the Google Play for "SPEEDTEST.NET". Then you can see if the network speed will be faster than 0.3Mbps either up and download. In case it will be lower, just simply to change for another network or move to a new place to try until to you have a stable high speed before making calls.
Also, you can push the G.729 codec to be the top priority on the low band tab if you observe the issue often happen in using data plan. If you have not G.729 codec pre-installed in the app, you need to consider to buy it.
Also, too much weakly signal strength of wifi or data plan 3G/4G also be a reason to cause poor sound quality issue. So, we suggest you to look for a reasonable place that you can get the signal strength level higher than two marks.
- I am having a single side audio issue. I could not hear other side but recipient heard me very clear.
Just simply to turn ON the STUN Server in the set up menu to remove this problem. But it is a toggle function that you might need to turn it OFF on the other network for the same problem.
- I am having a both sides audio silent issue. Both parties could not hear each other completely. Only see the time counter is counting.
Two things will be considered for this issue. Firstly you have to diagnostic your real time network speed by the App Speedtest.net to proof your speed of up/download are higher than 0.3Mbps. If Yes, then, you need to check if you have activated the in App codec G.729 to be enable. Enable it to resolve this issue. If you are using an App from 3rd party providers, the codec G.729 might be an in-app purchase item, you might be required to pay a cost for the license fee about $8 for life time usage.
- What means for an error code "404 Not found"?
It is a reason that Freecall server could not connect to your desired country. You have to check if your calling country is out of our standard service zone or you made a wrong dialing. Follow the Freecall dialing rule to try again.
- How can I understanding for more about Error codes?
Here is a table for a reference that you might see them during operation:
Error 403 Forbidden > Server refuse a dialing request due to it detect an illegal event is performing. Check if you are having two devices to be configuring with same Freecall account. Server will always block such double login and lock up the account if a case happen more than 2 times.
Error 404 Not Found > Request does not be accepted. Check if you did make a wrong diaing or a desired country is not within Freecall service listing.
Error 408 Request Time-out > Couldn't reach to callee in time. Try to call later and avoid to make calls during a network peak hour if possible.
Error 480 Temporarily Unavailable > The callee's end in local network was contacted. But the callee is currently unavailable.
Error 486 Busy > Callee's end or system is busy is currently unavailable.
Error 488 Not Acceptable here > Caller's data was not sent due to codec mismatched. Try to enable the G.729 codec on your setup to call the desired country.
Error 503 Service Unavailable > Server or network was temporarily unable to process your calling, just need to call later or avoid to call during a peak hour period.
Error 603 Decline > Callee's end in local network was contacted. But the local network does not wish to or can not participate. You need to report to Freecall support if the case last for 6 hours continually.
